From the favorite Christmas Nativity set to florals and Game Day themes, Lauren's acrylic art cutouts are a labor of love that has become her signature offering. Growing up in Leland, Mississippi, surrounded by the flat lands and endless cotton fields of the Mississippi Delta, Lauren’s earliest artistic inspirations were of this soulful landscape, steeped in culture and heritage. This backdrop still infuses her art today, influencing her use of vibrant colors, layered textures, and the ability to find beauty in life’s simplest moments. Gifted naturally and formally educated as an artist, Lauren uses a palette knife to create layer upon layer of color, working organically to achieve a loose representation of her subject matter reminiscent of the aged buildings and chipped paint of generations past but with modern appeal.
