HFE will be hosting Mahjong open play with Raleigh Mahj! Ready to play? Come mahj with us. Raleigh Mahj is your go-to for fun, friendship, and a shared love of mahjong. Whether you’re just getting into the game or you’ve been playing for years, these open play events are the perfect way to connect, relax, and enjoy the tiles. These are not teaching sessions. You’ll need to have taken at least one mahjong lesson or have prior playing experience. We bring the tiles and racks, you bring your 2025 National Mah Jongg League card! Come for the game—stay for the community. We can’t wait to mahj with you. *Registration is required to play. Registration information will be emailed to the HFE mailing list, then can be found through Raleigh Mahj in the weeks leading up to each event.

HFE will be hosting a pop-up with The Refreshery! This local juicery will be opening in Downtown Cary later in 2025! Stephen McNulty is a dad, entrepreneur, and Downtown Cary local who’s passionate about community, wellness, and bringing people together. Living in Downtown Cary, Stephen noticed the area was full of breweries, cocktail bars, and wine spots but lacked options for something that was actually good for you. That’s how The Refreshery was born. A reflection of how Stephen and his family live their lives—balancing health, family, and community while always finding ways to bring people together.
