Archivist Gallery A Perfect Match Giant Matchbox
It’s fair to say that when it comes to joyful and distinctive designs there aren’t many artists like The Printed Peanut. With a similar love of taking inspiration from old print ephemera as well as injecting humour into designs, we’ve collaborated with Louise Lockhart, the creative behind the business, to produce a fun and really rather striking range of matchboxes. This vibrant Perfect Match giant box is a truly colourful and dynamic design. Contains 150 matches, each measuring 280mm long.
Size: 300 x 190 x 60 mm
Artisan Information: Archivist is run by husband and wife duo William and Sarah, but over the last 20 years we have slowly welcomed some other brave souls into the mix. With guest appearances by their daughter Madeleine, and the very brave Katie (the first employee not to be a member of the family) to the newest additions at our Letterpress printers. We all share the conviction that gift giving is a joy, and that the world is a bit brighter with a mix of beautiful things and a touch of William’s wit. Archivist was founded in 1998. As the name might suggest; the archives of the Natural History Museum is where Archivist first began. Although the archives have changed the enthusiasm for hunting for images has not gone. Collaborating with artists all over the world, they have created the finest range of British Letterpress Cards, Prints and luxury matches. Ink and Paper have always been central ingredients to the business and now that the team is the proud owner of Britain’s largest dedicated Letterpress printing facility, they have the wherewithal to take famous quality and innovation to even higher levels.
