Melissa had two little ones who adored imaginative play, especially pretending to run their own shops. But those bulky playhouses? They quickly became the bane of her existence—so time-consuming to set up and a constant source of clutter. She was forever living in a sea of toy chaos! Feeling guilty that her children were often glued to screens while she worked, Melissa realized it was time for a change. That’s when she made a pivotal decision: she would reinvent playtime. Melissa envisioned a solution that would spark creativity while being incredibly easy to set up—our Swingly doorway storefronts.What she created not only brought fun back into the living room but also served as an educational tool, teaching kids about entrepreneurship through immersive play shop themes. They learned important life skills like teamwork, problem-solving, and financial literacy—all while having a blast! With over 20 years in product and brand development fueled by experiences as a mom, Melissa felt the urgency and drive to fill this gap in the market. When we successfully launched Swingly through Kickstarter in 2021, it was a heartfelt moment. She felt like she was finally providing other busy moms a solution she wished she had long ago. Today, it's incredibly rewarding to see the joy Swingly brings to countless families.
