Terrafirma Ceramics, located in New York City, has designed and produced handmade functional American Art Pottery since its inception in 1980 by artist Ellen Evans. As owner and artistic director of the Terrafirma studio, Ellen's creative focus is to design and produce high quality, functional works of art for the table and home using a unique, original process. Patterns are created by painting through textiles and lace using liquid porcelain to produce a distinctive "one of a kind" result. The base of warm, natural stoneware juxtaposed with vibrantly colored and patterned porcelain surfaces achieves the casual yet sophisticated look that has become her signature in both dinnerware and accessories.
Terrafirma products are made entirely by hand and kiln-fired to extremely high temperatures, giving each piece its own personality and great durability. Slight variations in color, texture and surface blushing are the natural and desired result of the hand building and high-firing process and assure each piece of its individuality. Each collectible, copyrighted design is signed and dated.Â

Pomegrante Inc. believes in authenticity and originality. So they approach the world with curiosity and wonder. Pomegranate's unique story is inspired by the life and travels of Founder and Creative Director, Angela Beck. From the paddocks and gardens of historic Gainesway Farm in Lexington, Kentucky to the pink sand beaches of Harbour Island, her sketches are brought to life through the ancient art of block printing in India. Based in Lexington, KY, their home is where inspiration blooms, amidst awe-inspiring landscapes and thoroughbred horsesâa tapestry of beauty that breathes life into every collection they design.
India's hand-blocked printing is a centuries-old art form showcasing meticulous craftsmanship. Artisans carve intricate designs onto wooden blocks, which are then stamped onto fabric with vibrant dyes. The result is a mesmerizing array of patterns, from elaborate florals to traditional paisleys, reflecting India's rich cultural heritage. The handmade nature, vibrant colors, and meticulous detailing contribute to the enduring beauty of this traditional craft.
