Haand
Haand handmade porcelain — crafted by hand in Burlington, North Carolina, and designed to bring beauty, warmth, and meaning to every table you set.
Haand handmade porcelain is what happens when two childhood friends, a passion for craft, and a former hosiery mill in Burlington, North Carolina come together in just the right way. Founded in 2012 by Mark Warren and Chris Pence, Haand emerged from a shared love of ceramics — Mark honing his skills at the prestigious Penland School of Crafts, and Chris nurturing his passion for pottery while working in corporate accounting before taking the leap to pursue the craft full time. Together, they built something truly special.
Every Haand piece is touched by their makers' hands as it moves from concept to table — from minerals and water to durable, high-performance ceramics. Their signature Ripple collection, inspired by the shape-shifting motion of waves on water, is a perfect example of their ability to make something feel both timeless and completely of the moment. Furthermore, Haand's work is used daily in over 175 restaurants around the world, including a celebrated collaboration with James Beard Award-winning chef Vivian Howard — proof that these pieces are built for real use and built to last.
Today, Haand employs a talented staff of 20 and thrives within the walls of a historic 13,000 square foot former hosiery mill in downtown Burlington. At Home for Entertaining, we're proud to carry this fellow North Carolina brand — one that shares our belief that a beautifully made object has the power to transform an ordinary meal into something worth remembering.
