Khem Studios
Khem Studios — solid American hardwood, shaped by hand, built for the tables where life actually happens.
Khem Studios is a design and woodworking studio that believes the objects you reach for every day should be worth caring about. Founded by Erik Guzman and Kari Lorenson in the Hudson Valley, New York, Khem Studios grew from a shared obsession with material and form into a studio practice built around honest, lasting craftsmanship. Every board tells that story from the very first use.
Each Khem board is crafted from solid American hardwood — walnut, cherry, maple, and ebonized ash — sourced from domestic mills and shaped in their studio. No veneers, no composites, no shortcuts. These are boards made to be used — for a quiet Tuesday dinner and a holiday feast alike — collecting knife marks, oil patina, and the quiet evidence of a life well lived.
Khem Studios' work has been recognized by Architectural Digest, Oprah, The New York Times, and House Beautiful, among others. At Home for Entertaining, we're proud to carry a brand that shares our deep appreciation for quality, intention, and the beauty of gathering around a well-set table.
