Le Creuset's first color, Flame, was inspired by the intense glowing orange hue of molten iron in the foundry's cauldron. It became the hallmark of superior enameled cast iron trusted by cooks everywhere. Today, over 200 colors have been introduced, yet every piece of Le Creuset enameled cast iron is still handcrafted at that same original foundry in Fresnoy-le-Grand, France.
