The Klimchi Underlay Black Smoke Hobnail Tumblers are the boldest, most dramatic expression of the Hobnail collection. The smoky, layered black-and-grey tone commands attention on any table setting and pairs beautifully with dark linen, brass accents, and candlelight. Each tumbler is hand-blown and shaped by Czech artisans at the Jílek Glassworks in Kamenický Šenov, with the iconic hobnail texture pressed into the glass while it is still molten. Comfortable to hold, satisfying to use, and beautiful on a table — these tumblers are as much a design object as a drinking vessel. Lead-free and dishwasher safe.

Artisan: KLIMCHI was founded in 2019 by Lukáš Klimčák, a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree who set out to reimagine Bohemian glass for modern living. The story begins in Kamenický Šenov — a small town in the Czech Crystal Valley of North Bohemia, long considered one of the most important centers of glassmaking in the world. The town's glassmaking tradition dates back to the 16th century, when local families turned to the craft in response to poor farming conditions. Today, Kamenický Šenov's glassmaking heritage is recognized as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage. Every KLIMCHI piece is born at the Jílek Glassworks — founded in 1905 and one of the oldest continuously operating glassworks in the Czech Republic. The factory is a true family affair: established by the founder's stepfather and run by his cousin, with craftsmen whose families have worked in glass for generations. Each piece is mouth-blown into metal moulds by hand, with the delicate pouring lip and handle shaped entirely by skilled artisans, making every item a genuine one-of-a-kind. A special note from Home for Entertaining: Kamenický Šenov holds a personal connection for us — it is near the region of the Czech Republic where the Serany family has roots. Carrying Klimchi feels like bringing a little piece of that heritage home.
