Home for Entertaining is thrilled to be hosting another 3-part series of Mah Jongg lessons, designed for beginners and newcomers who want to learn the engaging, social game of American Mah Jongg.

This series is taught by Dana Lange, who brings nearly three decades of teaching experience to the table — 29 years spent introducing players across the country to the game, refining a curriculum that works. When you learn from an instructor with this level of mastery, you're not just picking up the rules; you're learning the nuances, shortcuts, and strategic thinking that only come from a teaching career this deep. Dana will guide participants through the rules of the game, the meaning behind the tiles, and the strategies that turn a beginner into a confident player.

The ticket price includes all 3 sessions (3 hours each) — 9 total hours of expert instruction — ensuring participants leave with a complete understanding of the game and the confidence to play Mah Jongg with friends and family. It's an investment in learning done right, from someone who has spent a career perfecting how to teach it.

Included in the ticket price:

- A total of 9 hours of hands-on instruction and professional guidance to understand the game

- Wine for each participant to enjoy during the workshop

- Nonalcoholic beverages such as coffee, tea, and sparkling water

- Snacks and bites to enjoy during the lessons

Please note that this ticket price includes 3 separate lessons taking place on 3 different days and these lessons have been designed to build on the knowledge gained from the session before. If you are unable to attend one of the dates, we unfortunately can not accommodate a make-up session or refund.

Purchasing a ticket to one of our experiences is similar to purchasing a ticket to a sporting event or a live performance and our cancelation policy is in place to best support our guests, partners, and staff. Tickets are nonrefundable after 24 hours of purchase, but may be transferred to another participant by emailing hello@homeforentertaining.com.
