Artisan Information: Old School Brand™ was founded in 1992 by David Hinson in Albemarle, North Carolina, after he hand-restored an antique stone burr mill and set out to bring back time-honored, antique-method food production. What began with grits and corn meal grew into a full line of stone-ground pantry staples, baking mixes, and old-fashioned candies — all made with the same "antique methods, honest food" philosophy. Since David's passing in 2010, his wife Robin and son Parker have carried the family business forward from Stanly County, North Carolina, keeping Old School Brand's recipes simple, pure, and true to its roots.
